Cheesy Ernie..

HERESSSSS Ernie! After hours and hours of slaving over a hot airbrush I am finally done with Ernie. Im still excited on how well the project turned out but it was still a long process to get it to this. The face which I thought was going to be the hardest ended up being the easiest aspect besides the background, and the shirt gave me the most problems, that worked out in the end after painting the shirt white a few times and starting over trying to save the piece. Ernie was nice but hopefully I wont see him again for a while.... I don't see how Bert does it everyday

World Record final with text... BLOW IT OUT YOUR A...

Above is the final ( to be turned in) product for the world record project along with the fitted text. It took me a while to figure out what worked and what didn't work as far as the application of the text. But in the end I think it all got resolved.....

MoFINAL Stamp

Above is my final art for the missouri stamp. From the preliminary stages a lot of improvement has taken place. The original angle the girl on the beach chair was really flat , but after looking at picture references it turned out a lot better, as well as the sand beneath her. The Sacagawea dollar behind her also came out pretty well especially with the highlights that helped out quite a bit. The water skier silhouete is readable on top of the reflective Ozark lake. LAstly the Jeff city capitol building resides in the background over all, because in the back of y head when i think of Missouri I think of the capitol and the rich history it holds.

World Record final art

Above is the final art production for the world record project. I resolved the issues I initially had with adding realism to the figure and achieved depth with the ballon and the shaded grass. And lastly but importantly the clouds finally became clouds and not clumps of transparent blue mess. Next stage final production with the text. Up up and away......

MArker Comp for CheeZy-- Hey BERT!

The image I decided to go with for the cheesy airbrush project is one of my childhood favorites: Ernie from Sesame Street. Ernie is pretty flat and doesnt have too many values on his face when in the show because he has a dull cloth like material for skin so Im going to have to exagerrate some of his values to mair him appear more spherical. And even though I dont care for airbrushing too much but I am pretty excited about attempting to produce a nice cheesy Ernie.

Guiness WOrLd Record Comp

This is the marker comp for the Guiness World REcord project, my subject matter being The World's strongest lungs. The subject, Sajit ,it blowing up a meteorlogical ballon that in real time took him about 45 minutes to reach its full elasticity. in the next stage I think I will change the color of the ballon to a more metallic color because it keeps getting read as more of a buubble gum bubble than a ballon.

COnversation final

Above is the final production for the conversation project, mine being "PArty Beatdown. The 10x 10 piece was down in marker outline on the illustration board and colored later in photoshop. For the final I changed the colors up a little bit more to make the girl on the bottom appear more submissive when "pretty in pink" and the beater more dominant with heavy black boots and jeans, like a biker chick.. LAstly I changed the floor from a wood panel to a perspective tile floor that added more to the negative space around the 2 figures. COmedic SUccess @ the expense @ pretty in pink girl : /
